About the product +

Gyokuro is grown by shading the tea plantation from sunlight for a certain period before the tea leaves are harvested.

It is characterized by its relatively low astringency and its rich, mellow umami and sweetness.

You can enjoy the unique flavor of Gyokuro by brewing it carefully with a small amount of hot water over time.

Brewing Guide +
(Serves 4)

Put about 8g of tea leaves into a teapot.
Pour boiling water into teacups and let it cool to about 50–60°C.
Pour a smaller amount of water than usual for sencha into the teapot and wait about 2 minutes.
Pour the tea into the cups a little at a time, making sure to pour until the very last drop.
For the second infusion, you can enjoy a different flavor profile by using water at a slightly higher temperature.
Storage +

Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, high temperatures, and humidity.
Once opened, seal tightly and consume as soon as possible.
As tea easily absorbs surrounding odors, do not store it near items with strong fragrances.
